Legislative Issues

Thanks to the hard work of Diabetes Advocates across the country, the U.S. House of Representatives successfully passed the State Children's Health Insurance Program (SCHIP) reauthorization bill (HR 3162). This legislation includes a one-year extension of the Special Diabetes Programs at the National Institutes of Health and the Indian Health Service, which help combat, prevent and cure diabetes and bring us one step closer to a healthier future for our children.
