Clinica Tepeyac
We are a non-profit medical clinic for the uninsured population of the Denver Metropolitan area.  Most of our patient population is latino, and many of them have diabetes. I am looking for CDEs who might be interested in voluntering at our clinic to help us extend more comprehensive medical care. Volunteer CDE's can work once a month, once a week, or whatever fits into your schedule. You do not have to be bilingual since there is staff that can translate. We have a collaboration with the ADA and have monthly group diabetes classes for our patients, but I feel that many of our patients would benefit from some more personalized diabetic education/counseling as well.  Most of our providers are here on a volunteer basis.
